Check Valves

Compact Check Valves

The low pressure-drop design of Marotta’s check valve series makes them an ideal choice for a wide range of hydraulic and pneumatic applications that require a compact check valve in a lightweight package.

Marotta check valves incorporate a poppet with internal flow passages for minimal pressure drop. The poppet has a large L/D ratio, maximizing poppet guide and minimizing chatter, resulting in a very smooth operation. The valve uses soft seats for a bubble-tight seal. A variety of seat materials are available to ideally meet the application requirements.

Our high-quality check valves are built to withstand some of the most intense conditions, making them dependable in virtually any situation. These poppet check valves are suitable for pressure ranges of up to 3,000 psig for the CVM300 series or up to 6,000 psig for the CVM600 series. They are valuable in their ability to prevent backflow damage and contamination within a wide range of systems. Their features and capabilities make them ideally suited for use as pneumatic check valves, bubble-tight check valves and in other applications where reliable performance is essential.

Applications

  • Pneumatic Systems
  • Hydraulic Systems
  • Chemical Injection
  • Fuel Purge Lines
  • Ground Support Equipment
  • Commercial & Military Aircraft
  • Flight Applications
  • Automated Test Equipment
  • Launch Vehicles
  • Engine Test Facilities

Check valves are used to achieve single-direction flow, via springs, hinges or other design elements to shut down the reverse flow direction when a pressure threshold is reached. A check valve system is a critical component of correct flow direction of fluids, liquids, hydraulics, oil, gas, air and other media — preventing backflow and potential damage, malfunction, shutdown, and danger to operators and other personnel.

Typical uses of compact check valves include aerospace check valves, aircraft check valves, marine check valves, space check valve systems, and more — all of which are safety-critical uses where quality and reliability are paramount concerns. Among the many fluids these valves can be used with are seawater, GN2, cryogenic H2, MMH and N2O4. However, this is far from an exhaustive list, as our check valves can be used within a much larger range of applications and use cases throughout multiple industries. Their versatility makes them extremely useful in a broad spectrum of aerospace, defense and marine applications, among others. To learn more about our products, reach out and talk to us today.
