Flo-Fit Eliminates Pipe Alignment Problems

Marotta’s Flo-Fit is a patented fitting that eliminates pipe alignment problems, reduces stress and provides a leak-free assembly unaffected by shock, vibration or thermal distortion. The aligning stud of the Flo-Fit pivots freely and smoothly over the highly polished ball socket allowing 3.5° swing from center.

This misalignment feature of the Flo-Fit ‘forgives’ cutting and welding assembly errors. The feature also reduces pipe stress caused by distortion in complete assemblies and permits the easy removal of components/pipe sections. This unique design has two seals – both the same size – located close to the internal diameter of the pipe, minimizing pressure separation forces. Only a low sealing torque is required. (Sealing torque depends on pipe size and line pressure.)

MARGIN FOR MISALIGNMENT: Tangent of angle time pipe length equals inches of misalignment from center; i.e. misalignment in 10 feet of pipe approximately 7 inches from center.
