Valves Combined with Digital Controllers
Act Autonomously or Execute Commands
From a Remote Host
Embedded processor and networking technology combined with proven sensor and servo techniques, adds Intelligence to Fluid Control in valve applications. Valves combined with digital controllers can act autonomously or execute commands from a remote host.
Intelligent Fluid Control Technology allows individual valves to be controlled and monitored by a central controller, while still allowing distributed control through peer-to-peer communication. The user can monitor the total system from a central station.

Enhanced Survivability
Network enabling allows the valves to be reconfigured should breaks in the network occur. Valve intelligence plus power backup provides a powerful fail-safe in the event of a complete power and network disconnect from the valve.
Reduced Manpower Requirements
The valve can be operated autonomously or by remote top-level commands, thereby reducing the number of "touches" during regular operations as well as adverse emergency situations. The Built-in-Test feature allows monitoring of the valve at any time from a remote command and control post.
Valve Modulation
The use of motorized actuation provides the ability to modulate the degree of valve opening. The open and programmable nature of Marotta's Intelligent Fluid Control makes this easy to do. Profiles can be applied to fluid controls, i.e. a set position vs. velocity.
Ease of Expansion, Minimal Wiring
The valves use industrial automation topologies which are highly scalable without requiring additional control interface hardware. The system does not require additional harnesses or control interfaces downstream.
On-Line Condition Assessment
Via status reporting and comprehensive Built-in-Test, the command system will always be aware of operating conditions at the valve and of any faults that may occur. Status information an be sent autonomously at a regular interval or on demand.
