Congratulations to our friends at Airbus Defense & Space on the successful launch of LISA Pathfinder.

December 2, 2015
Today the LISA Pathfinder satellite, designed and built by Airbus Defense & Space, was launched into orbit atop a Vega rocket launched from Kourou, French Guiana.
From the ESA Mission Website:
“The LISA Pathfinder program will test in-flight the concept of low-frequency gravitational wave detection. It will put two test masses in near-perfect gravitational free-fall, and control and measure their motion with unprecedented accuracy. To do this, it will use inertial sensors, a laser metrology system, a drag-free control system and an ultra-precise micro-propulsion system.”

Miniature Latching Valve
Miniature Latching Valve

We provided our MV602L miniature latch valve technology as a key component of the Cold Gas Micro-Propulsion system on the LISA Pathfinder satellite.

Marotta’s MV602L miniature latch valve is the smallest, most power efficient latch valve available today.
